The purpose of this project was to create a unique exterior space that serves as an oasis, a contemplation zone, and a pathway to the bay. The plants, water features, decks, and topography have been carefully designed to create an outstanding experience that unifies nature and architecture. The sense of compression and decompression has been carefully explored and successfully implemented by using plants to create a “frame” that overlooks the bay and welcomes individuals to the open spaces of the house.
